This Edison machine is indeed a gem! It is a completely original and exquisite apparatus for playing blue amberol cylinders. The “DX” signifies the pinnacle of the Amberola “X” series by Edison—a phonograph of exceptional rarity. Produced for only six months in 1914, it is the last belt-driven model in the Amberola lineup and the only variant to feature the quieter fireside motor, a departure from the noisier GEM motor of its predecessors. This phonograph is a breathtaking, all-original exemplar of this scarce and coveted model. It boasts a splendid case finish, a motor in outstanding condition, and an upper bedplate. The original pinstriping and grill cloth add to its charm. Finding a more immaculate example on the market would be unlikely. It presents itself in an exceedingly clean, excellent, and untouched condition. Please examine the photos for further details, and any inquiries are welcome.
