Presented is a Columbia Graphophone, Type “C” second style, commonly referred to as the “Commercial.” Suitable for both commercial and home use, this model debuted in 1904. Encased in an oak cabinet featuring a drop-down front, it boasts superior sound quality compared to its predecessors. Capable of playing both the extended 6-inch and standard 4-inch cylinders, it also features enhancements such as a trunnion ball with a centering screw and a rocker device, allowing the user to pause playback while the motor remains operational. The machine is in outstanding original condition, complete with its lid and the initial aluminum horn (as indicated by the date on the horn). The bedplate’s nickel plating and the decorative decals are in excellent shape, and the case retains its original finish, presenting a splendid appearance. A crank is included, though not shown in the images. This piece stands as a fine representation of an early multi-spring motor machine with the capability to play multiple cylinders. Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to ask.
*NOTE… This machine is very heavy and will be shipped in two boxes. Pick up is always a better option.
