The Edison Model F Standard Phonograph stands out in the annals of phonographic history. Released in 1912 and produced for only one year until 1913, it is one of the shortest-lived models, making it a rare find today. Equipped with the advanced, larger “S” model reproducer, it was capable of playing both 2- and 4-minute cylinders. Typically, the model number on the ID tag had the “D” crossed out and re-stamped with an “F” on the side. This specific model bears only the “F” stamp. Uniquely, this machine lacks the bracket screws for the rear bracket of a cygnet horn, suggesting that a standard horn was utilized instead. The machine is in clean condition, operates well, has a pleasing appearance, and the bedplate striping is in good shape. It’s a fine example of an unrestored machine that presents well. Note that the horn is not included in the purchase price. Should you have any questions, please feel free to inquire!
