Waltham Vanguard 23 jewel Wind Indicator Railroad Pocket Watch. Excellent appearance in a railroad watch! This watch is a 16 size 23-jewel railroad timepiece. Winds up and starts right off. Wind indicator works properly and no issues here. The watch is running fine! Lever set. Beautiful double sunk BOLD Arabic dial with no hairlines or chips missing that I can see. It has what appears to be a pair of original matching railroad hands. The case is a nice yellow gold case that is in excellent condition! Case still has the brush marks on the back of the case. Most of the time, these are worn off from use. This watch looks like it was only carried a few times. The movement is bright and crisp as well. No scratches, blemishes or rust spots period! If you are looking for a prime example of a wind indicator, this is it! Great appearance overall and looks like it has been well cared for over the years.
