The Victor IV was an upper-mid-range external horn phonograph featured in Victor’s early product range. It was launched in 1903, coinciding with Victor’s adoption of Roman numeral designations for their machines, which replaced the previously confusing and overlapping letter designations for various models. The Victor IV’s predecessor, the Victor MS, was gradually phased out of production. Essentially, the Victor IV machines were replicas of the late Victor MS, produced with largely similar components. Notably, the Victor IV was one of the few external machines equipped with a standard mahogany cabinet. The Victor IV was a significant product. It included a 10-inch turntable and a robust double-spring motor (identical to that of the Victor III). This specific machine has been completely restored, both mechanically and in terms of the cabinet, hardware, and horn. It operates as well as it appears and boasts a stunning presentation that would make a fantastic addition to your collection, home, or office! It is accompanied by the standard Victor black petal horn, which also has an impressive presentation on its own! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
