For your consideration today we have a Heywood-Wakefield “Perfektone” upright crank phonograph in a wicker cabinet, from around 1921. Heywood-Wakefield was a high-end furniture manufacturer based in Massachusetts. The company decided go into the phonograph business after World War I. Heywood-Wakefield were well known for their wicker furniture, they decided that such a cabinet would produce superior acoustics. The wicker cabinet phonograph was the only style ever produced by the company. It was a style that was extremely popular in the 20’s. This particular model is in great condition!
